About

Currently based in Northwest Arkansas, I first became interested in photography around 2002 when I received a 35mm film camera as a gift. At the time, I learned all that I could about the art of photography and the basic elements of photo composition. As I got older, my photography hobby fell by the wayside until I purchased my first digital camera after graduating college. I was immediately hooked, and the photography bug was stronger than before.

I restarted my photography hobby while living in Arizona, and I found easy inspiration in the landscapes of the desert southwest. I soon found myself closer to my roots in Kansas City, even though my heart is still in the desert. Moving back to Kansas was a shock to the system, but I soon learned how to appreciate minimalism in landscape photography and I now embrace open spaces as frequent subjects of my photos.

Moving to and subsequently photographing around Northwest Arkansas and the Ozarks has helped to further refine my skills as a landscape and weather photographer by learning how to capture landscapes when spacious views are not always available. Over time, I paired my passion for photography with my interest in aviation, where I built on my skills as a private pilot and became a Part 107 licensed drone pilot shortly after the license category was established.

I've offered a range of services over the years, with a particular focus on drone imaging. This was born out of the vast amount of experience that I've gained while conducting drone surveys and data processing for PhD-related research, including surveys at remote study sites in the desert southwest and Iceland.

My photos are available for licensing and as prints on request. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or specific requests!
